At Jenkins Dentistry for Kids in Shawnee, we understand that children aren’t just miniature adults, and they require a unique style of specialized care. Our advanced training enables us to tailor your child’s preventative dental care and treatment with an exceptional experience that uniquely fits your child’s needs.
Dental care starts with regularly scheduled dental exams. It’s how we get to know your child’s unique personality and needs. At Jenkins Dentistry for Kids, we follow the American Dental Association’s (ADA) recommendation of scheduling examinations along with professional cleanings every six months, or twice a year. We use the latest x-ray technology to ensure efficient and thorough appointments for your child.
Preventative Dental Care
We recommend your child visit the dentist every six months for cleanings and preventative care. We take regular dental x-rays to monitor your child’s oral development and diagnose decay as early as possible. Establishing a routine for your child’s dental care will help build a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits.
If your child requires treatment, You can trust our team of experts to care for your child in a comfortable setting, designed just for them. Our team uses special vocabulary geared toward positive reinforcement and we encourage your child with compassion and patience. We work closely with local orthodontic specialists to create a comprehensive treatment plan for your child’s orthodontic needs. Our experts can identify developmental issues early and refer you to a trusted orthodontic partner to coordinate the necessary treatment.
We know how much you love your child’s smile! We work around the clock to provide you with emergency dental care. Accidents happen, but Jenkins Dentistry for Kids is here to protect and preserve that precious smile!
We follow the American Dental Association’s (ADA) recommendation to begin dental exams at your child’s first tooth eruption, or before their first birthday – whichever comes first. We are excited to meet new families and build new relationships in an effort to foster positive dental experiences and optimal oral health.
The safety of our patients and team is our top priority. During the pandemic, we will medically screen each of our team members at the beginning of the day.
