Dr. Jill Jenkins, DDS

After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), Dr. Jill Jenkins achieved her doctorate from the UMKC School of Dentistry and went on to complete her Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, President-Elect of the Kansas Dental Association, and the Immediate Past President of the Fifth District Dental Association.

Passionate about toothless grins, a child’s joy and pride in a job well done, and princesses and superheroes in costume for their dental appointments, Dr. Jenkins counts it an honor and privilege to care for her patients’ beautiful smiles! She’s devoted to helping children and their parents understand the importance of great lifelong oral health, and she goes the extra mile to make every visit as fun, relaxed, and efficient as possible!

Dr. Dharti Gandhi, DDS

Dr. Dharti Gandhi earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia before achieving her doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She then completed her Pediatric Residency Program at NYU Langone Hospital in Nashville, TN. She is board-certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a licensed pediatric dentist in Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado, and she’s a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and Missouri District Dental Association.

Bilingual in English and Gujarati, Dr. Gandhi loves creating a fun and positive environment where care is tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. She prides herself on connecting with and developing long-term relationships with her patients and community, and she’s dedicated to customizing oral health education that enables her patients to protect and strengthen their smiles for life!

Dr. Benjamin Olson, DDS

A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, Dr. Benjamin Olsen completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Dr. Alex Schmidt, DDS

After earning her undergraduate degree at Rockhurst University, Dr. Alex Schmidt achieved her doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.

Known for her innate ability to make patients and colleagues alike laugh and feel at ease, Dr. Schmidt is a people person who does everything she can to ensure her patients have positive dental experiences – every time! Passionate about caring for teens, she brings a heaping dose of enthusiasm to our team and is thrilled to be part of each and every one of her patients’ smile stories! In her words, “I got into dentistry because I wanted to have an impact, and I would describe myself as a people person. Throughout dental school, I realized I loved working with young patients, and I haven’t looked back.”

Dr. Yiou Guo, DDS

Having earned her doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Yiou Guo served as our teen dentist before completing her pediatric residency in Cincinnati. We’re thrilled to have her back!

Focused on helping young patients understand the importance of a lifetime of good oral health, Dr. Guo takes a tailored approach to providing education about proper nutrition, diligent brushing and flossing, and other habits that prevent serious issues. She takes great pride in eradicating dental pain, restoring function, and boosting her patients' self-confidence while positively impacting smiles and lives. Her dedication to her profession make her a cherished member of our team! Dr. Guo says, “As a pediatric dentist, I get to profoundly impact the lives of children and their families in so many wonderful ways.”

Having worked in pediatric dentistry since her graduation from dental hygiene school in 2013, Hannah enjoys the energy and unpredictability this type of dentistry brings to her life. She loves that kids keep her on her toes while keeping her laughing, and she adores the fun chit-chat that happens with kids and their families. She finds great purpose in building trusting relationships with her patients, and there’s nothing more rewarding for her than being able to transform an anxious child’s outlook on dental visits to one that makes them excited to come back for future appointments!

Our Community Involvement

At Jenkins Dentistry for Kids, we believe in giving back to the communities that have supported us. That’s why we’re actively involved in a variety of local causes and events throughout the year. From organizing school supply drives and supporting sports teams and camps to participating in impactful initiatives like Make-A-Wish, RunFASD, and Lucy’s Peace for Kids, we’re proud to play a role in making a positive difference. In addition, our dental team travels to daycares and preschools across the area, helping young children get excited about their oral health from an early age! Whether it’s donating supplies, volunteering our time, or helping out at our local Trick-or-Treat, we love to engage with our neighbors and spread joy. Together, we’re building stronger, healthier communities, one smile at a time!
